Whenever I travel, one of the things that I really remember are the food that I’ve tried in those places. I would remember the flavors of really good food for a long time. In fact, I’m guessing that most of my future entries under my Wanderlust Stories category would probably be paying tribute to the gastronomic pleasures of going to places. Let me start with Mr. Bean.

Mr. Bean is a chain soya bean food and beverage retailer in Singapore. I suddenly got this craving for Mr. Bean goodies because I went to get some water just now and saw this refrigerator magnet that says “Somebody went to Singapore and all I got was this lousy magnet“. Mr. Bean sells stuffs such as pancakes, shakes, flavored soya drinks etc. A definite must-have is their cheese pancake, which my friend Kaye introduced me to. It looks like a bigger version of the Japanese pancakes that they sell in the Japanese store in Park Square. Mr. Bean’s cheese pancake has generous serving of white cheese (Philadelphia? Not sure) inside and the combination of the pancake and the cheese is simply charming.
